Max is a Sunbeam!

It is the new year of 2011, and with the new year comes big changes to our family. Our baby boy is no longer a baby, but a Sunbeam! It was with mixed emotions that I watched him march confidently into his classromm, sit so tall and reverently throughout Sharing Time, and sing so loud for Singing Time. He is such a joy and it makes me so sad to watch him grow up. I just want to put him in my pocket and protect him forever. So since I can't do that, I'll post videos like this of him to remind me always how precious he is and try not to cry.

Christmas Joys

Christmas wish lists were easy on Santa Clause this year. I think he may have actually had to add things that were not on the lists. Max asked for a Buzz Lightyear tent and "all the Thomas stuff!" I don't know about All the Thomas stuff, but he looks pretty happy. That's good enough for me (and Santa Clause too).
Adam asked for a walet and some coloring things. Hmmm, I think we can make that happen. We added our own request for his own creation table so he will keep all his mess off my dining room table. It bugs me.
Spencer's theme this year was "all things Halo" He looks pretty happy too!

As for Daniel, this is the year I have been waiting for. He asked for a boa constrictor and mom was more than willing to grant that wish. He is super excited and carries it around like its a puppy. He wants to do research projects and is constantly commenting on how cute his Awesome Brute is.

Once again a successful Christmas knocked off the list of things to do and we even managed to have the best present of all...Chad was home for Christmas Eve night AND Christmas Day! First time in 5 years that that has happened and we were overjoyed to not have to lie to the kids about what day Christmas is, or for me to have to sacrifice my life and limbs to hold them off until 8am. That year totally sucked. I enjoyed having Chad home all day to assemble everything and put together all those Legos. We had a great few days together and I am grateful for my boys, for how appreciative and loving they are. We have a wonderful family and I love you all SO MUCH!

Christmas Wishes

Merry Christmas!! This was the best we could come up with for a Christmas Card...and actually, it never made it into an actual card because we (I) was so frustrated trying to get them to behave that I gave up. That's what I get for having high expectations. You'd think I would learn.

Do you see what I have to work with here?
